The three things every embroiderer needs to get right.

Polyester or rayon?

PolyesterTough & colorfast — survives hot washes and bleach. Best for uniforms, kidswear, workwear and anything washed often.
RayonSofter, higher sheen, premium look. Best for abaya, fashion and decorative work that isn't washed hard.

Most UAE shops pick polyester for durability, rayon for sheen.

Top thread or bobbin?

Top thread (40wt)The colored thread you see — it forms the design on top of the fabric.
Bobbin thread (60wt)Finer, sits underneath, usually white or black. It locks every stitch from below.

You need both: top thread for colors, bobbin thread underneath.

How many colors do I need?

Just startingBegin with a core set of common colors — black, white, navy, red, gold — and grow as jobs demand.
