What is the difference between Juki and Jack?
Juki is a Japanese company, founded in 1938. Many factories and tailors use Juki as the standard for stitch quality and long machine life.
Jack is a Chinese company from Taizhou, founded in 1995. It grew fast and is now one of the largest sewing machine makers in the world. Jack is known for modern features at lower prices.

Which brand is better for lockstitch machines?
The single-needle lockstitch is the main machine in every tailoring shop. Juki lockstitch machines are known for clean, even stitches at high speed on many fabrics. This matters for kandura and abaya, where the seams must look clean.
Jack lockstitch machines are strong too. Many Jack models have a quiet direct-drive motor and automatic thread trimming at a lower price. Juki also makes direct-drive models with thread trimming, and they cost more.
What about overlock and heavy-duty machines?
Both brands make overlock and interlock machines for edge finishing and stretch fabric. Jack is popular here because its models give many features for the price.
